awwww... (blushes) thank you for the kind words!

yes - i've been a part of many wonderful projects and have had the honor to be able to contribute a lot to them(conceptually, choreographically, and astheticly) so i hope you'll take advantage of these special workshops! i will give you tools for creating your unique vision as well as tips and tricks for stage/dance costuming that i've had to learn through years of trial and error.

the "character" costumes really just refers to creating a costume for a specific piece so it's focused on the process of expressing intent- applicable to any type of costuming.

you can also see my latest costumes, created in collaboration with zoe jakes for her tribal ensemble peice(brown vests and bustle belts with teal accents) in the Art of Belly Dance production.

    hope to see you there!
    opa, rose

i just got a message from one of my workshop students in the UK- it was so lovely i thought i'd share it with you...

I have been making heaps of costumes since Tribal Ford
Your costume workshop was a huge inspiration and I have totally overcome
my fear of ripping up lovely old clothes that have been shoved in my cupboards for years,
          to reinvent them for costumes.
I got myself a lovely new sewing machine, It's black! :)
I have been cutting up old skirts and turning them into pretty pantaloons
and don't have many bras left that haven't undergone the tribal treatment.
Haven't tried bleaching anything yet but I will do when I find something bleachworthy
and in the meantime, nothing will escape my scissors!

          Thanks for the inspiration!
