You asked, I deliver.Tribal fusion workshop at Ballam Studio:
“Sultan Drops” or “How to Dance like The Indigo’

In this workshop we will learn an entire routine designed by Rachel Brice and passed onto me many moons ago in Europe!! Although I have adapted some of it to fit students of all levels, many bits remained untouched, so you will be getting the original San Francisco Bay tribal-fusion bellydance style that made famous all the ladies of the Indigo!
The workshop will start with a good warm-up and conditioning paying extra attention to posture and stylization. We will proceed then to break down and drill the combos that will build up the entire routine!
This routine is suitable for all levels although some experience in bellydance is recommended.

Ballam Dance and Well Being. August 8th 1:00- 4:00pm
1245 Heights Blvd. Corner of 13th street, inside building of Grace United Methodist Church.
Workshop fee: 35$
Space is limited, so early registration is recommended. To register please email Silvia at:

About the instructor:
Silvia Salamanca is a life-long dancer from Mallorca, Spain. She started her career as a belly dancer in 2001, when realizing the enormous benefits that this art-form brings to women in both body and spirit (something that she felt truly missing in other dance practices). From her first teachers, Tasnim Melendres and the acclaimed Nur Banu, two natural born-Egyptians, she realized how with the practice of belly dance that women can get closer to their self identity and discover oneself in a new level, increasing self-esteem, releasing stress and getting deeply in touch with the feminine essence in their soul. With her work in the field of Zambra Mora (spanish gypsy-oriental dance fusion) Silvia has gained international recognition and is currently invited to teach workshops and perform in major festivals in Europe and across the USA, and will be part next November of the international Jury of the Contest for the Bellydancer of the World hosted in Germany.
